Doing well on acting auditions is vital to obtaining an acting job. You may go on dozens, possibly hundreds of them before you get to the one where everything just clicks. To increase your chances of fame and fortune, appear for every acting audition, any auditions suitable for your characteristics and talents. Stay positive and take advantage of all opportunities. Set your mind to succeeding. Never forget that you always leave a good impression if you are gracious to other people in the industry, so practice courtesy and kindness.
The number one element in a successful acting audition is preparation. Acting auditions should be treated like a job interview. It may seem silly, but little details like having your outfit picked out, making sure you have gas in the car, correct change for public transportation, and planning your day ahead of time will make all the difference. Ladies, give yourself plenty of time to get ready (hair, make-up, etc.). Remember, acting auditions can be stressful. If you panic, take deep breathes and manipulate your mental state towards tranquility.
